Jackson Geary (he/him) is a San Diego born cinematographer with an intense passion for the craft of photography. An alumni of the Coronado School of the Arts, he now holds a degree from California State University Northridge’s Film Production Program, where he focused on an emphasis in cinematography.
Jackson recently had been a Director of Photography for Union Avenue, a film chosen for the CSUN Senior Film Showcase. Union Avenue also was chosen to receive a grant from Hackman Capital, helping with its production costs. Screening of the short will take place at the Academy Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills on April 30th.
Jackson is drawn to projects that explore the human condition and world issues. He is a member of the Society of Camera Operators and American Cinemateque and is usually seen going out to the movies there when he’s not working on a project.
